Meet Spenser, Assessment Coordinator

1. Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I am one of the few Colorado natives working at CyberGRX. Go Broncos!

2. What brought you to CyberGRX?

While working at an undisclosed government agency for seven years I decided it was time for a change.  I was drawn to working at CyberGRX because of the strong leadership team, work-life balance and the company culture. After being offered the position of Assessment Coordinator I jumped at the opportunity to learn new skills within the  booming industry of cybersecurity.

3. What do you do at CyberGRX/what’s your typical day like?

My typical day is atypical. I have many tasks ranging from customer meetings, posing advantageous arguments to third-parties while enticing them to complete the CyberGRX Assessment and potential renewal/sales calls. I also have a boss that loves to innovate ie., lots of projects!!!

4. What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Wins on the court will not define you, wins with your friends, family and faculty will become more valuable than you could ever know. Your path will not be drawn between the lines of a typical coloring book but more of so an expressive Jackson Pollock.

5. What has had the greatest impact on your life?

Failure. I have failed more times than I have succeeded, but without the failures and perseverance to do better, I would not become a person my future self will be proud of. “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not: unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” – Calvin Coolidge

6. What’s your hidden superpower?

I’m not going to give away the secret, but I like to think that buying concert tickets at the last second for face value price or below is my hidden superpower.
