Get to Know CyberGRX: Meet Alexis Mitsuhashi

Meet Alexis, UX/UI Designer and Researcher

1. Where did you grow up?

I grew up right here in Colorado! I’m not technically a native but moved here when I was 8. I’ve lived in Denver and the Denver Tech Center for most of my life.

2. What brought you to CyberGRX?

CyberGRX presented a significant opportunity for me in my career. The flexibility to work on data visualization, internal processes, our design system, and our customer feedback pipeline all in one day is what I love about my job. It feels great to be learning and contributing in so many areas.

It was also clear from my first conversation with Ben (our recruiter) that CyberGRX was a company of passionate employees. That resonated with me and made CyberGRX a clear winner during my job search.

3. What do you do at CyberGRX/what’s your typical day like?

Every day here is different, but the main theme for my role is problem solving. Most days include working with developers and project managers on refining mockups of features. A key component of my job (and one of my favorite parts) is customer interviews and research. I love talking with people and identifying ways to help them succeed with our product.

4. What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Instead of worrying about what people think of you, go pursue your hobbies. Drive slower. Study smarter. Call your grandparents.

5. What has had the greatest impact on your life?

Art. It’s always been my outlet, and I’m lucky to have a career where I can be artistic and creative. Whether it’s animation, music, movies, sculpture, etc., art is what moves me the most in my life. To celebrate my friendships and relationships, I like to give people paintings or hand-drawn cards.

6. What’s your hidden superpower?

Just like Gary, I’m very OCD. Sometimes it’s a super power and sometimes I spend an unnecessary 20 minutes organizing my sock drawer.
