What Covid-19 Can Teach Us About The Spread Of Cyber Risk

As we continue to watch Covid-19 unfold, it’s hard not to see lessons we can learn when it comes to a viral pandemic and widespread cyber risk. Just as a virus can easily spread between people, cyber risk spreads between organizations in our digital and interconnected world, causing cyberthreats to grow exponentially every year. In fact, a recent article reminds us that a large-scale cyberthreat is not only coming, but has likely accelerated as more companies and services move online to support the new reality of a social distancing and remote working.
I believe these parallels present the cyber community with an opportunity to learn from the successful tactics that have helped prevent and mitigate the spread of viral threats. Below are a few of those applicable lessons from the current Covid-19 pandemic.
